I'm having problems getting to sleep. I don't know what I can do to help me go to sleep at a reasonable time. At the moment, I can only get to sleep at around 2:00am.
Does anyone have any good suggestions how to tackle this problem?

Me too, that's why I am blogging!
Things I try:
Lavender oil
hot chocolate, (mostly milk!)
Walk round the block before bed time with my guy - chatting about nice things
Watching repeats of the West Wing I know already - so interested but not fully engrossed, and happy to switch off when feel tired
Boring TV
Work if I brought it home
Getting up - find staying in bed just makes me feel more awake!
If in bed - going on a mental drive round somewhere in lots of detail - gets so boring I fall asleep - never arrive at destination.
What has worked for you in the past?
Kind regards
QC
Well there are a lot of factors that come into the equation of being able to sleep. They are:
* If my GF is sleeping with. I have to sleep when it's freezing cold. She is the opposite - she has to be very hot.
* Watching a comedy dvd works. However recently I haven't been able to get to sleep watching them.
* How much space I have, what side of bed I have
My main problem is that I am into research. I can't seem to shutdown my research mode as I am forever thinking of research thoughts.
So if anyone knows how to turn off my research mode, I will have the key to my sleeping problem!
Recently, listening to radio 5 on the internet has worked. I use a timer on my computer to turn off the computer automatically, turn off the monitor and nod off listening to podcasts of a radio 5 programme.
I might look and see if there is a new one on the bung dilemma.
try a bath with radox herbal in!
Great!
Intersting that you say that as I have not had a bath in ages. The last time I have had one was a month ago. Maybe it's a bath I need.
However, isn't this Radox a clever marketing gimmick?
I find a bath relaxing, I bought my hubby some of the radox (only cos it was on offer) and it does the trick. You are so relaxed after, takes all your energy to get dried and into bed.
Also, is your room clutter free? That can upset your karma.
I also like freshly laundered sheets, preferably dried outside.
Failing that, a bottle of decent red ![]()
